For over 20 years Regina has been a staunch advocate for the community. She has sounded the alarm and led the fight on many of the challenging issues in the district.
Regina is a lifelong Brooklynite and a lifelong resident of the 35th Council District. She grew up in Clinton Hills surrounded by family, where she developed a strong sense of community and cultural responsibility. As a mother it was equally important for her to instill pride, purpose and community values in her child, At the age of seventeen her child was the first teen to ever serve on Brooklyn's Community Board 8.
Regina's civic engagement and willingness to help began at the age of nineteen, when she was recruited by a relative to help their church conduct street outreach to runaways and at risk youth. Her outreach to neighbors of all ages and backgrounds have continued to this day. Her commitment to the community is unwavering.
Regina comes from a long line of civil servants, union members, both parents worked for the city of New York, and she is the granddaughter of a World War II Veteran.
Regina attended NYC public schools and is a proud product of The City University of New York (CUNY), minored in Criminal Justice and majored in Legal Studies .
